Panic disorder
I have panic disorder, which forced me to stay inside the house I’ve been often wondering with people who takes care of me, how it would be possible to expand my world, since even stepping outside the door was next to impossible. Then I heard a suggestion that a dog might help. We had a chance to try this theory out with a lovely Bichon Bolognese for a month. Fear and anxiety had to give a way to feeling of responsibility and love. I started to go out little by little, and with these outdoor trips with a dog started my new life, I was getting better and less fearful. Also I started to go to store, since my “baby” needed food and other things.
This little friend of mine has helped me more than I can ever describe. My life without this little family member would be impossible to live.
”Panic”

For better or worse
My dog hero is my 5-year old malteese dog called Neptun. At the beginning of year 2000 I got sick with serious arthritis and even with good treatments, my condition got so bad that I had to use wheel chair and walking sticks. This took toll on my mental welfare and my relationships.
It was in March 2004 when Neptun moved in with me. I spent lot of time with her, since I was at home a lot due to my disease. Neptun walked with me and played with me daily, an before long, our trips were getting longer and longer. I no longer needed walking sticks, or the wheel chair. She saved my life.
At the same time, my partner for over 10 years told me on the phone that our relationship was over. I was a mess when I started to drive home. Only one thought kept me alive and from crashing with the truck coming ahead: “No. No I can’t. Neptun is waiting me to come home”. She really literally saved me.
Now we have Neptun’s little brother also in my house. We are happy, no more pain or sorrows.
